Walk Over Hot Coals For The Hospice

Walk Over Hot Coals For The Hospice
It may be the height of summer, but things will be hotting up for St Elizabeth Hospice this autumn.
That’s when the charity will be holding its first ever Firewalk where Guinness World Record holder Scott Bell will be showing people how to walk over hot coals. This sizzling family event will have a Halloween theme and takes place in the evening of Saturday 30th October at Gresham Sports and Social Club, Tuddenham Road, Ipswich. There will be entertainment for children and adults alike and those who cannot pluck up the courage to do the Firewalk can attend the event to spectate and enjoy the fun. Community fundraiser Rachael Mittell said: “This is the ultimate challenge for fearless fundraisers, walking between 15-20ft over hot coals at 550 degrees C. Guinness World Record holder Scott Bell will show you how to go about it, it’s all about mind over matter, and will raise money for a good cause.
“This is the first time we have organised an event like this and we hope lots of people of all ages will join in.”
People doing the Firewalk are asked to raise sponsorship as well as paying an admission fee to enter.
