Our February talk by Gary Gascoyne ‘Around The World In 100 Days’, was very well received. Those in the audience who had been fortunate, or not, to have spent time in some of his ports of call added personal colour to a very enjoyable afternoon.
The March meeting, which, at the time of writing, has yet to take place,( 26th) will have local historian Phil Hadwen speaking on ‘Suffolk Suffragettes: The Bath Hotel Fire’. ‘The last major outrage of the militant suffragette campaign’

Our April meeting will give full reign to Steve Worsley when he discloses ‘The Industrial Archaeology of Suffolk’. Steve’s illustrated talk will take place at 2.30 pm on Saturday 30th April 2011 at our usual venue, the Munton and Fison Room, Stowmarket Community Centre, Hillside, Stowmarket, IP14 2BD, where there is ample free parking.
To defray costs, donations of £3.00 from non-members would be appreciated.
