Stowmarket at the Eastern Swimming Championships 2nd weekend

At the Eastern Swomming Championships Stowmarket had  three  representatives in Ryan Clay, Ellena Skoulding, and Calvin Coe.

Ellena started the proceedings with the 100m backstroke and swam in a very strong field achieving 20th place and coming home in a long course personal best time of 1:19:5.

Ryan swam nest in the 200IM racing to 17th  with a new best time of  2:32:17, which is more than 3 seconds off the time that he set at the same pool only six weeks ago.

Ryan followed this with another race of his preferred stroke in the 100m Breaststroke swimming a Long course Personal best time of 1:19.16 and coming home 9th missing a place in the final by the narrowest of margins , just 0.19 seconds.

There were just two races for Stowmarket on the last day of the championships. Ellena went up 3 places from her 100m position in the 200m backstroke to chive 17th place in a new Long course PB of 2.48.72, and Calvin Coe managed 6th place in the final of the 200m butterfly against some strong opposition, to finish in a new Long course PB time of 2.50.28

All swimmers gained new PBs at the championships, no mean feat considering the change in pool size, and the coaches were very happy with all the swimmers efforts.
