Growth is Afoot

As well as the Stowmarket Flyer getting bigger and now covering 13,000 Homes, so is Stowmarket itself. Above is the start of construction for one of the last phases of building the Cedars Park Estate. More homes for us to cover in the future! The Recreation Ground Development work is also very much underway, the mid Suffolk update on this can be read below. Work continues on the play area at the Recreation Ground and this part of the project should be completed by the end of February – although some areas may remain fenced off for a while to allow grass to grow back. At the time of writing, work on the skate park and the ballpark has not started with the contractor’s schedule having been seriously hindered by the cold weather in November and December. Work on these two elements of the project should have started before the end of January. The skate park will take around 12 weeks to build and therefore should hopefully open before the end of April. The ballpark will take 2-3 weeks to build and the contractors hope to have this finished by the half term week during February, although a spell of bad weather would prevent this.
