Stowmarket United Reformed Church in Ipswich Street is looking forward to an exciting two weeks at the end of June. Our Flower Festival to be held on the 25th 26th and 27th will be followed by an Organ Concert at 7-30pm on Friday July 1st.
This years Flower Festival has as it’s theme ‘Numbers’ and if you would like to do an arrangement for this annual event please telephone 01449 615678.
The weekend also has a Memory Corner for floral tributes in memory of loved ones, a second hand book stall and refreshments will be available. On Sunday, Tea and Cakes at 5pm will be preceded by singing favourite hymns at our 4pm Songs of Praise.
The Organ Concert which will be ‘Bright, Light and Tuneful’ is to be given by the very popular David Ivory, who is often heard at the Mechanical Music Museum, with vocal solos by Scilla Stewart. Admission £5. Tickets are available from the Tourist Information Centre, or by phoning the above number and at the door.
This concert is part of a weekend of celebrations to mark the 60th anniversary of the ordination of Revd. Leslie Ivory. It concludes with a special service on Sunday July 3rd at 10-30am. to which all are very welcome. From John Webb For Stowmarket U.R.C.
