Disability charity’s big days out!

Suffolk-based charity Optua is organising a series of fun and exciting days out in 2011 for people with disabilities. Optua’s Leisure Service organises a range of leisure and sporting activities and events throughout the year which includes organised days out to various events and places of interest. The following trips are now available to book. They include accessible transport and volunteer support and are open to anyone with a physical, sensory or learning disability:
• Wednesday 2nd February – The Lion King musical live in the West End of London.

• Saturday 5th March – X Factor Live Tour at Wembley Arena which will feature local winner Matt Cardle and all the other finalists from the latest series

• Saturday 16th April – A day out to see WWE Wrestlemania Revenge at the Birmingham LG Arena.

• Monday 30th May (Bank Holiday Monday) – Kings of Leon in Concert at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry.

• Saturday 4th June – England V Switzerland, Euro 2012 qualifier at Wembley Stadium.

Optua is also organising trips to see both of Ipswich Town’s Carling Cup semi-final games against Arsenal and to several other home games including the local Derby against Norwich in April. Optua’s day trips provide a safe and supported day out for disabled people of all ages and disabilities. We do all the organising and provide volunteers to help out on the day. Most of the bigger trips also involve a wheelchair accessible coach which can pick people up from Ipswich, Stowmarket and Bury St Edmunds.
