On Saturday 3rd July, between 11am and 2pm, Cedars Park School will be holding their annual summer fair and like most schools this time of year they have their fingers crossed for dry weather. The children have worked particularly hard towards the fair this year as they have each designed a poster. All the children were invited to take part in a poster competition and a winner from Reception, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 will be chosen this week. The 3 winning designs will be displayed around Stowmarket in the next couple of weeks, so keep your eyes peeled for them. Marlon ‘The Game’ Hunt, ranked No 1 in the World and a 6x World Professional Full contact Kickboxing Champion, will be opening the summer fair and putting on a kickboxing display with some of his young students. There will be the usual attractions including a BBQ, cake stall, refreshments, games, face painting by ‘messy mites’, tombola and lots more fun for all the family. Cedars Park Rainbows and Brownies will also be there with a stall, as well as Just Learning Nursery, Cedars Park Residents’ Association and Cedars Church. This year there is a grand draw with some fantastic prizes and tickets for this are available in advance, but don’t miss the raffle on the day as there is a signed Ipswich Town football to give away to one very lucky winner. All money raised from this event will help Cedars Park School PTA buy some picnic tables for the current and future children of the school to use and enjoy.
